Last week was our 1 year anniversary. W-O-W, it's been a year already. Putting it in numbers and places, that's 2 apartments in 2 different countries, plus travel to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Panama, Greece and Egypt. :)
We took a weekend trip down to Niagara Falls. Some call it a mini Vegas - a bit with the tacky touristy attractions, but way less casinos (only 2) and a bit more green scenery. We did the Maid of the Mist and walking around two years ago when we went for a day trip, and went instead to the waterpark. It's a small indoor park on top of a huge parking deck, with only 8 adult slides, but it was a lot of fun. Oh, the memories of Wet 'n Wild! Of course it was full of kids, but I was surprised to see lots of non-parent adults just being kids (especially 20-30 yr old males in frat-like competitions down the slides).

Views from our room - the Falls and border crossing! I guess going to the US is more popular...

In lieu of a fancy steak dinner, we opted for the casino buffet :) MMMmmm. Not grandiouse, but the desserts were surprisingly really good. My good karma (that's another story I'll get to later) from a few days before had worn out by then, so I only won $35 playing Double Attack Blackjack. Technically, $34 when you discount the $1 chip we traditionally keep as souvenirs.
Another tradition that has developed over the years is going to play putt-putt (aka. mini golf to Tim) on our short trips whenever we find a place.

Sorry, no galapagos' turtles here!
