Tim & Me

One of my favo(u)rite parts of the movie Marley & Me, which I watched because I was on a plane (although I must admit that puppy is really cute), is when he 'fast-forwards' and recaps his stories/adventures in a fast and funny way. So, here is my fast-forward of the last month:

- Went on a 3-week vacation.
- Visited the Acropolis for free.
- Ate a gyro.
- Rode a tram for fun.
- Ate another gyro.
- Set foot in the African continent.
- Touched a pyramid.
- Went inside a creepy tomb.
- Saw camels.
- Stood next to a camel pooping.
- Saw animal mummies.
- Went inside more creepy tombs.
- Learned that obelisks were prominent in the architecture of Egyptians.
- Touched a mummy sarchophagus (even though we were not suppose to). Inside creepy tomb.
- Admired ancient colo(u)red hieroglyphics.
- Enjoyed the sunset over the Nile river.
- Rode an ATV around the beautiful island of Santorini.
- Ate a gyro for lunch, half of one for snack, and another one for dinner on the same day.
- Dipped our feet in the Mediterranean sea. Too cold to swim.
- Watched donkeys carry people up a hill.
- Enjoyed the beauty of blue-domed churches and non-functioning windmills.
- Met a friendly Canadian couple.
- Was never more excited to see and ride a ferry.
- Tim found out how much I really don't like cats.
- Saw a restaurant hang octopi outside. Did not order octopus for dinner.
- Enjoyed the greek hospitality of serving yo(u)gurt and after-dinner drinks.
- Realized they only served us after-dinner drinks when we ordered the 2.5 Euro bottle of water.
- Met another friendly Canadian couple who invited us to their house if we are ever in Windsor, ON.
- Ate even more gyros.
- Spotted some of the famous Mykonos pelicans.
- Returned to Chicago for a day.
- Moved to Toronto.
- Got a new cellphone and new cellphone number.
- Finally opened and used some of our wedding gifts.
- Bought a "real" dining set.
- Started a new job.
- Still giggle inside when hearing the words "out" or "about" from a Canadian.
- Still need time to get used to words like favourite and centre.
- Googled where Winnipeg, Manitoba is.
... think that's it.
