The heavy mixer is hard to move around and still keep in the corner of our countertop. So, I researched for ways to make it easy to slide out. I found an "as seen on tv" gadget that would have been perfect for slide-out/slide-in, someone who suggested putting marbles instead of the rubber nubbins, and other ideas. The best one: buy a board and put felt on it. I went to the arts store (it's great to live by the art and design college), got a piece of hard board and a perfect-size felt piece, all for less than $3. A bit of craft glue and... TA DA!!! Slide out, use, slide back in :)
