Saturday, we experienced "Montreal" food. Smoked meat sandwich and poutine with smoked meat for lunch! For dinner, I decided to be very adventurous and for two appetizer portions of tartare!!! One salmon and one beef!!! T remarked - did you ever think 7 years ago I would be eating so much raw meat? :). For dessert, we found this little ice cream place that had macaroon ice cream sandwiches. Very neat idea and quite yummy. Perfect little dessert to end the night! In between meals, we went shopping and walked a ton around the main streets of downtown Montreal.
Today, we headed to Montreal's chinatown. The first place we saw was a bakery, where we ended up going twice in one day!!! T found the best egg tarts he's had in a long time. Dim sum was uneventful with bad service, so nothing to report there. After spending the afternoon at the biodome and St. Helen's island, we stopped by Chinatown again to stock up on buns for my flight and T's breakfasts.
Montreal was fun. Will definitely be back another time!
