After about a week of rain and gloomy days, we got some much needed sunshine. What a great way to enjoy the long weekend! We joined our fellow torontonians and swarmed to the beach. A new adventure for us, we bought a pop-up shade tent and packed up a picnic to take to the island. Island, you ask? Sounds exotic. Not really, it's just a 5-minute ferry south of the downtown. I think it's actually a collection of islands, but there's a little kids' amusement park, lots of picnic areas, bike trails and some stretches of beach. Including a "clothing-optional" one. Which is where we ended up. GASP! My first experience with a nude beach, it was definitely an experience. But once you get used to it, you realize it's a nice and quiet environment. No screaming kids or big families taking over. We are told it gets crazy in the summer, with a lot more people and music blasting, so it was good we went this weekend when it's still not "summer" crazy.

We bought this pop-up shade shelter so we could enjoy the outdoors more this summer... We'll let you know if this really happens...

T humphing at allergy season...

Where'd you get your pop-up shelter? Amelia would love something like that.
